ELVIS PRESLEY famously met The Beatles and now a Memphis Mafia eyewitness has reveal what she remembers from that incredible encounter.

Elvis Presley and The Beatles are the best-selling music artists of all time, with their stars starting Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. And it’s no secret that the Fab Four were influenced by and huge fans of The King, even before they hit the big time. In 1965, The Beatles were invited to Elvis’ Los Angeles home on Perugia Way in Bel Air and now an eyewitness of the event has revealed what she saw.

Elvis was well known for his Memphis Mafia, a group of close friends and relatives who made up his trusted inner circle.

This included Marty Lacker, who was in attendance at The Beatles’ meeting with the King, alongside his daughter Sheri Lacker, who was just five-years-old at the time.

Earlier this month, Sheri and her younger sister Angie gave an interview with Elvis expert Billy Stallings Spa Guy.

Asked about meeting The Beatles with Elvis, Sheri opened up on some of her memories from the iconic event.

She said: “I don’t remember any of the fanfare before it, of course, because I was only like five-years-old.

“But I do remember them coming in and there was a couch in the living room.

“And I remember them sitting down.

“Ringo Starr had on a white beige jacket…and Paul had on a sport coat and I think he had on jeans.”

Sheri added: “I don’t remember John at all for some reason.

“And George was very, very quiet; he was sat over to the side.”

On the famous story she had heard from her parents, she said: “They were all in awe of Elvis and Elvis was just sitting there watching the TV and waiting for them to start talking.

“And the silence was deafening. I guess that’s why I can’t remember any noise!”

Sheri continued: “And he said…‘If you guys are just gonna sit there and stare at me, I’m gonna go to bed!’ And that broke the ice at that point.

“From what I understand they had a jam session in there and some of the guys split off and went to play pool.”

But there was one particular moment with Paul McCartney that she really treasures.

She recalled: “The one thing that will forever stick out in my mind – and I’ll be forever grateful for this – was for some reason Sir Paul McCartney was calling me ‘she-she’.”

Sheri added: “It was time for me to go to bed, of course, and he’s left-handed and I’m right-handed.

“So I stuck my hand out and I said, ‘How do I shake your hand?’ He said, ‘Well let me show you how to do this she-she’.”

“And he got down on his knee and he explained the whole process.

“Sir Paul McCartney taught me how to shake hands with a left-handed person! The process is you use your other hand of course!”
