The Beatles, a now-iconic group formed in 1960 and arguably one of the most influential bands of all time, Have written some of the greatest pop songs in history despite the fact that they were only active together for ten years.

Between John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the iconic Liverpudlian’s managed to write, record and release 12 studio albums. Considering their debut record Please Please Me was released in 1963, The Beatles went into overdrive and delivered 213 songs during their active years.

With a discography that is more complicated than the reasons for their eventual breakup, The Beatles releases were initially differing depending on the location of their record label and, since their split, re-released a number of different formats.

While it is generally accepted that of The Beatles’ core catalogue, the band recorded 213 songs between 1962 and 1970—a figure that totals around 10 hours of music—the and’s record label went on to share around 100 more songs after their infamous split.
