McCartney’s Collection of Stories a Fab Read for All Ages

Born in Liverpool, England, “terminally cheerful” Dr. Angie McCartney has enjoyed a life of amazing ups and downs, tempered by a breathtaking blend of optimism and determination to succeed no matter what may befall her. McCartney gained a firsthand knowledge of Beatlemania when she married Sir Paul’s father Jim in 1964, and has amassed a collection of stories during and since.

Your Mother Should Know is the second book from Dr. McCartney, who published her first, My Long and Winding Road, in 2013. Now 90 years old, she shows no signs of slowing down. Her latest work is a collection of often hilarious and always heartfelt quips, memories, life- hacks, salty one-liners and witty observations. Along for the ride is McCartney’s ever-loyal and equally saucy daughter Ruth, who, as a young child greeted her future stepbrother Paul at their first meeting with “I know who you are! You’re on my cousin’s wallpaper.”

It has been quite a while since Angie & Ruth joined us, and we welcome them both back. We will be offering signed and personalized copies of Angie’s book before the Virtual FEST begins, a week from today!! Stay tuned.

When 2020 began, nobody could have imagined this new reality we now live in. Kind of like before The Beatles landed in America…. who could have guessed the hysteria they’d cause! Or the lasting impact that would be made.

2020 has given us this bizarre chance to come together virtually – and we couldn’t be more excited to start to see our Chicago, NY, & LA Beatles families converging — along with the best lineup of Special Guests we’ve ever had! Plus, fans around the globe and across the universe can join us, too!
