Buyer shells out US$35,000 for a lock of John Lennon’s hair | Showbiz | Malay Mail Online

DALLAS, Feb 21 — A four-inch chunk of John Lennon’s hair was snapped up in Dallas, Texas, for US$35,000 (RM147,000) yesterday.According to reports, the new owner of the locks is Paul Fraser, a UK-based memorabilia collector.Heritage Auction in Dallas said Lennon had hairdresser Klaus Baruck cut off his hair in preparation for the role of Private Gripweed in a 1967 movie called How I Won The War. Along with the lock of hair, Fraser won two vintage newspapers discussing the makeover Lennon had to star in the movie and a signed call sheet that Baruck had also preserved, CNN said.
