At the center of the The Beatles LOVE 10th anniversary makeover is … more Beatles. The original incarnation showed the four lads only in silhouette form, mostly, until the very end when they reminded, “All You Need is Love.”That has all changed, as The Beatles themselves are depicted vividly in classic video and photos, a collective decision involving show co-creators Domenic Champagne of Cirque du Soleil and music producer Giles Martin, son of the late Sir George Martin. Video projections are now displayed in vivid colors along the stage’s surface, and sheer scrims are further employed to show the boys racing across the stage in the A Hard Day’s Night and Yellow Submarine characterizations.
