REVIEW: The Bootleg Beatles at Scunthorpe Baths Hall

AS The Bootleg Beatles tore through a two-hour plus set, the audience had plenty to twist and shout about at the Scunthorpe Baths Hall last night.

Having never experience the Fab Four tribute band before, I had high expectations. After all, the late Beatles producer George Martin has previously described it as a “terrific show”. High praise indeed.

The first thing that struck me when the lads came on stage was just how similar they look to the original lineup. Care and attention has been paid to make sure the physicality, the costumes, the mannerisms and the voices are as close to Paul, John, Ringo and George.

The set itself was a real treat taking us on a journey through every era of The Beatles.
