John Lennon’s son Sean is embroiled in a $10 million legal battle with the parents of actress Marisa Tomei, over the fate of a tree. After a year of arguing, Gary and Addie Tomei have taken Mr Lennon to court in a case which The New York Post reports shows John Lennon’s son refusing “to give peace a chance.”The Tomeis, who live in a 170-year-old town house in New York’s Greenwich Village, accuse Mr Lennon, 40, of “arrogantly” demanding that they alter their home so he can save a diseased ailanthus tree. The rotting 60ft-tall tree has, according to the Tomeis, cracked the stairs leading to their doorway – with the roots creeping into the basement and damaging the house’s foundations.
