The late Beatles legend once again has landed in the top 10 of Forbes‘ annual list of the top-earning deceased celebrities, appearing at #8 after his estate brought in $12 million between October 2015 and October 2016.Lennon’s earnings include, of course, a share of the sales from Beatles albums and other Fab Four-related items, as well as from his solo catalog and the Cirque du Soleil troupe’s Beatles-themed Las Vegas show, Love!Making his first appearance on the Forbes tally is David Bowie, who died of cancer at age 69 in January of this year. The influential singer landed at #11 with $10.5 million in earnings, which included sales of his final studio album Blackstar, and of the many other classic releases fans bought following his passing.Topping the Forbes list for the fourth consecutive year is Michael Jackson, whose estate made a jaw-dropping $825 million during the past year, $750 million of which came from the sale of the late King of Pop’s 50-percent share of the Sony/ATV music publishing catalog.Other deceased music artists who landed on the Forbes list include Elvis Presley at #4 with $27 million in earnings; Prince at #5 with $25 million; and Bob Marley at #6 with 21 million.
