The former U.S. vice president has a made a follow-up to his Oscar-winning 2006 climate change documentary An Inconvenient Truth, and has been touring the world campaigning for politicians to increase efforts to combat global warming.To coincide with An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power’s release this month (Aug17) a host of pop stars have spoken out about why they are determined to up their environmental campaigning efforts, calling on people to, “Be inconvenient”.In a video posted to YouTube Paul says, “I’m inconvenient for the future of the planet,” while Bono explains, “The poorest of the poor are furious because they’re hit first and worst by climate change.”Pharrell adds, “We can’t do this alone, we have to do this together. We have one planet that we live on, we ain’t on Mars yet, so until we get there I’m inconvenient.”Other stars who appear in the video include The Chainsmokers, Shailene Woodley, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Hudson, Steve Aoki and Randy Jackson.World leaders are due to meet in Bonn, Germany in November (17) to discuss tackling global warming, but environmental efforts have been put in jeopardy by U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to pull America out of the 2015 Paris climate change agreement.An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power is currently in American cinemas and debuts in the U.K. on 18 August (17).
