Welcome to Los Angeles

Welcome to Los Angeles

Los Angeles has always been a favourite of The Beatles, owning property and working in studios around the area.

L.A. people professing to be pretty “laid back” do seem to have given them more space, generally speaking, although not in the days when they were still a working band.

As time progresses, however, folks have become more accustomed to celebrities, and moving in  similar circles, visiting stadiums (or should I say “stadia?”), and coming across them in public places, restaurants etc.

But the good old Paparazzi never miss an opportunity, because an exclusive photo can earn them big bucks. I guess that will never change.

A very popular tourist spot is The Capitol Records building, outside of which is where their Stars on The Walk of Fame can be seen.

The Hollywood Bowl and The Hollywood sign are high on the list too. I will confess that when I first came to live here, over 30 years ago, I was as big a tourist as anyone, and I value the memories I have of many happy times spent in the pursuit of the glamour of Hollywood.  Now, as an elderly (but thankfully, still hard working) old broad in her 90’s, I am content to see it from afar, via the many forms of entertainment that are available to us electronically.

I hope my readers find something to suit their tastes in the following pages.
